Nursery Land Classification

A bona fide commercial nursery operation may be eligible for agricultural classification, provided the use is in place on or before January 1st and meets the criteria under Florida law.

Minimum Size Requirement

Nursery operations should be a minimum of 2.5 acres in size.

General Requirements

• Wholesale nurseries must have a valid state agricultural certificate.
• Private nurseries and gardens used for personal enjoyment do not qualify.
• Only areas actually used for nursery production and service are eligible for classification.
